The Role 

As the business continues to grow and the regulatory landscape evolves, we’re looking for a Compliance Officer to help keep the business operating at its best. 
 
You’ll own compliance across the business — making sure the foundations are solid so the team can move fast with confidence. You’ll be responsible for managing the company’s overall compliance policies and processes, with a key focus on leading the introduction and ongoing management of our AML/CTF function ahead of the Tranche 2 reforms. 

You’re detail-driven, structured, and comfortable taking ownership. You’ll work closely with leadership and the wider team to make compliance practical, embedded and second nature — not something people have to think twice about. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Owning and maintaining the business’s overall compliance policies and processes including licensing, CPD, contract execution, privacy, conduct, consumer protection and Fair Trading requirements 

• Serving as the key AML compliance lead in the business, responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of all AML obligations 

• Implementing a new AML platform across the business 

• Ensuring AML checks are completed for all clients, including identity verification, customer due diligence, financial crime risk assessments and enhanced due diligence where required 

• Acting as the primary liaison with AUSTRAC (the financial crime regulator) and submitting reports in line with legislative requirements 

• Delivering AML/CTF training and guidance to sales and support staff, and building a strong risk culture 

• Serving as the key point of contact for AML/CTF-related queries across the business

About You

• Comfortable implementing systems and processes, not just writing policies 

• A clear communicator who works wells with sales and operational teams' 

• Experience in AML compliance and risk management in financial services or real estate environments will be highly regarded
